"Paul Jones (the owner and installer) was the person who came out to discuss the system with me and provide the quote. He provided honest, up front, detailed and accurate advice.

We chose a medium range unit (Trina panels and SMA inverter). The unit was installed on the day advised, and the location of all components was discussed in advance. Paul was installing and supervising the whole day (he has his own crew of 4). The installation was professional and neat, and the site left clean and tidy afterwards. Paul thoroughly explained the operation of the system, which produced over 3 kW in the final 2 hrs of sunshine of the day.

"We are happy to recommend Paul & his team at CSA Solar to anyone considering PV Solar installations. We had a very satisfactory experience with them when we wanted to extend an existing 1kW (six panel) system to give us 18 panels, 3kW, all up.

Our roof is not very big and not much of it faces North. So we had the extra 12 panels installed facing East. Paul explained this would be about 10% less efficient (than if they were facing north) but during the summer months when the days are longer the output from our CSA system is almost equal to the panels facing north. For example during the 13 days up to 15^th November 2011 our six north facing panels generated 75 kWh and the twelve east facing panels generated 144 kWh. There have been periods when the results are better than that but it depends on cloud movements and some other factors. Our refund cheque from AGL for the last 11 months is $1047.93 after supplying us with free power for the entire period and some of this return is because we go away from home for about three or four months a year. However the returns on our investment have been excellent and better than we are getting with our superannuation funds.

The actual installation by Pauls team was great. We offered them smoko but they would not sit down to have it and continued working while munching biscuits & sipping drinks. After sales service has also been good and we are pleased we chose a local team with a local office, no sub contractors and Paul Jones as the leader. Well done fellas – we are happy customers."
